I watched the movie "London Town" a while back, and it renewed my love for punk style and the band The Clash. I've loved punk all my life, my dad introducing me to Sex Pistols, The Boys and so on. I raided his vinyls and cassettes and got hooked on the gritty sound of Britain. I bought a plaid "school uniform" looking skirt from H&M a while back and used it while filming my upcoming music video "Horror High". I also did a cover of Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen" last year and did a music video for it. What can I say, I'm addicted to old school punk and it's attitude ;)

My album "Bloodlust" is finally out on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and more, and will soon be available for hard copy order! :) E-mail [email protected] to pre-order your CD today! I'm so proud of this album! It all started with an idea about wanting to do a theme album, and since cool 80s horror and thriller movies have been a big part of my life, throw in some classic horror and a bunch of vampires, it felt right to dedicate it to all things creepy cool. Always trying to bring back the 80s, we stick to the booming sound of that decade, adding feelgood riffs and rhythm to the album as well. We all have improved since the first album "Rough Stuff" came out back in the summer of 2015, and we got a new bass player on board; TJ's brother and my brother-in-law, Geir Arne Solheim. The movies that inspired us the most were The Lost Boys, Dracula, Trick or Treat, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, everything badass Charles Bronson (especially the movie 10 To Midnight which we named a song after), and Fright Night. The song "Flesh is Burning" was inspired by Daphne Moon in Frasier going "Flesh is burning, na-na-na-na-na-na", which was too comical to pass up. I was very inspired by Juliee Cruise from Twin Peak's soundtrack, and some Ozzy when singing. Our sound was inspired by Alice Cooper's song "He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask), Ozzy's "Bark at the Moon" album, some Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche, Van Halen, and 80s movie music in general. We hope that you enjoy the album "Bloodlust" and get 80s vibes from it. If you do, we've done something right ;) Check out www.marita-wild-cat.com Follow Marita - Wild Cat on Facebook Follow @marita_wild_cat on Instagram and Subscribe to Marita - Wild Cat on YouTube I've been cleaning out my clothing room like a crazy person the past couple of weeks. So much stuff that's been piling up for years; things that don't fit right anymore, things I don't like anymore and things I've never worn, and never will.
I'm kinda on a shopping buying ban, but I've ordered some stuff from H&M. I need some new shorts and jeans. And the Blondie one and the Grateful Dead one are safe items though. Never enough band tees :p |
