They said the world was ending 21.12.2012, but I'm sure glad that didn't happen, because 2013 has been the greatest year in my life so far :) Here's a summary of my now know as my "lucky year": April: TJ and I went to Oslo to see Gamma Ray and Helloween. Turned out to be a life changing experience, as I fell head over heels in love with Gamma Ray. Their live show and music gave me a massive shot of inspiration and passion that I've had been lacking for a long time. I felt like a teenager again, discovering a new band (well, I heard the Rayz for the first time in 2005, but I was waaay into hard rock and sleaze at the moment...). I decided to be me, dress the way I wanted and do the things I wanted to do, life's too damn short trying to please others. F*@k other peoples opinions, so-called fashion blogs, and other fucktards bringing you down and making you question yourself. "If you're not into metal, you are not my friend". Metal is my law! May: TJ and I want to Kristiansund to see Blaze Bayley and Paul Di'Anno. It was very nice to meet Blaze after he had recorded our song "Iron Eyes". The shows were great, and we had a hell of a time! :) July: TJ and I spent our summer vacation in Denmark, Germany and Sweden. And we saw Paul Di'Anno and Iron Maiden in Malmö. August: TJ and I went to Gävle, Sweden to attend our first festival ever. I got to meet Kai Hansen from Gamma Ray, Chuck Billy and the rest of the guys from Testament, and the band Anvil. I also got my first tattoo. September: I won the #megadethgirls contest on Instagram. My picture got a lot of likes on Instagram and Facebook, and I got Megadeth and David Ellefson as Twitter followers :) October: TJ and I went to Ålesund to celebrate our 8-year engagement. We're still very much in love <3 November: We saw Bruce Dickinson in Florø. He was talking about "The Big Picture", and it was very inspiring. We recorded the music to our song "Iron Eyes" feat. Blaze Bayley, and I recorded a Christmas song; "Last Christmas" by Wham. We also saw Space Truckers, a Deep Purple tribute band, in Volda. December: This month's been most about Christmas, movies and of course, the release of Grimskull feat. Blaze Bayley - "Iron Eyes". So, as you can see, it's been a very good year! :) A lot of great music, and it's kinda fun that we've seen all three Iron Maiden vocalists this year (Bruce Dickinson, Blaze Bayley and Paul Di'Anno). I loved meeting Kai Hansen, even though I was starstruck as hell, and didn't say much. Ha, ha. And my first tattoo, ahhh, I just love it! I might have to get another one next year ;) And I know next year is gonna be just as good, since we've already made some cool plans :)
Watch out! *chugga, chugga* Beware! *chugga, chugga* 2014 here we come! \m/

I love Wicked Lester Clothing! Amazing clothes to an affordable price. I got six pieces this year, and I know I will get a lot more stuff next year too. Janine Gibbons, the designer behind the brand, has said yes to do an interview for me to post here on the blog, so stay tuned! :)
Here are my beloved Wicked Lester pieces: A present to all Iron Maiden/Wolfsbane/Blaze Bayley/Grimskull - fans! The song "Iron Eyes" was written and recorded in 2009, for Grimskull's demo album. Two years later (2011) we contacted Blaze Bayley (Wolfsbane, ex-Iron Maiden) for a cooperation, and he recorded the vocals to the track. And two years later (2013), Grimskull's drum studio was ready for recording. Finally, the song's ready to be launched. We've always felt that "Iron Eyes" was the ulitimate Blaze Bayley song, and it came to life this year. The lyrics, the cover; listen, fantasize and metal on! The song will also be available on iTunes and Spotify, on Official Blaze Bayley facebook page and on www.blazebayley.net
I was a rayniac on Instagram last month: I LOVE metal! I've been a metal fan for 12 years, and it's my fuel and inspiration in life. Metal is the law! And I think this song captures how I feel when I'm listening to and making metal music, and when I'm at a metal show: "To The Metal" by Gamma Ray Coming from the streets Fists up in the air Generating heat They come from everywhere Hail Fists are made of iron Bodies made of steel Dancing on the razor Metal is the deal Hail We came to feel the thunder The lightning and the heat We came to hail the metal gods Banging to the beat, singing Hail, to the metal, hail Singing, "Hail heavy metal" Hail The power in the music Arising in us all We're never gonna lose it We're proud and standing tall Hail, I said, "Hail" If you just cannot feel it You'll never understand There's nothing's gonna beat it Metal rules the land Hail We come to feel the thunder The lightning and the heat We came to hail the metal gods Banging to the beat, singing Hail to the metal, hail Singing, "Hail heavy metal" Hail, hail Hail heavy metal, hail Hail heavy metal, hail Hail heavy metal, hail Hail to the metal Heavy metal, hail Hail to the metal Heavy metal, all hail Hail to the metal Heavy metal all hail Hail to the metal Heavy metal, all hail Hail to the metal Heavy metal, all hail I'll probably get a tattoo with the words "To The Metal" on my right forearm sometime next year \m/ |
